The Central Iron County Water Conservancy District is currently working on a Water Infrastructure Improvement Project. The project will include additional waterlines, large storage tanks, and new wells. This project will help the District better provide water to its constituents in Cedar Valley.
The first phase of this project was a waterline that was installed along Iron Springs Road during the winter of 2022-2023. The waterline was installed as a private/public partnership with Building Zone Industries who has an industrial facility near the end of the waterline. This waterline will help connect the District’s current system to a new well in Basin 71 helping to diversify and balance water resources and utilize the District’s water rights in Basin 71. The next step will be to construct a well in that valley.
